  Alex joined Mason & Associates in July 2018 and serves as the firm’s Director of Investments.  Alex is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and risk management of Mason & Associates’ investment strategies.

  Prior to joining Mason & Associates, Alex was a senior analyst at Stonemark Wealth Management, where he collaborated with the Chief Investment Officer in developing, implementing, and managing the firm’s investment portfolio strategies.  Additionally, he was responsible for research & trading, and analyzing securities and economic trends.  Prior to joining Stonemark, Alex was a credit research analyst on the municipal trading desk at Hilltop Securities, (formerly Southwest Securities), where he was responsible for providing fundamental research and financial analysis on municipal credit markets in various sectors.

  Alex graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.S. in Business Administration and received an MBA in finance from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. Alex is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Los Angeles. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and is an avid runner who has participated in numerous races throughout the country.
